The unconventional form of the building called for a structure capable of spanning large distances. The vertical structure comprises of an almost honeycomb shaped concrete system. The shape of this structure aligns itself with the organic form of the building. The Shell of the building comprises of a number of layers of the UV stable copolymer Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene (ETFE) cladding system (Vector Foiltec - http://www.vector-foiltec.com/vector.htm). This system is an elegant solution which allows for large spans and accommodates the buildings unconventional form. Natural skylights emerge out of the roof in the form of voids, which generate a pleasant ambient temperature and light throughout the building. The materials used are lighter, the structure is more organic and spaces are less bounded and more energetic.
